Munich Security Conference Wraps Up with Talks on Europe’s Security

(MENAFN) The final day of the Munich Security Conference on Sunday will center on discussions about Europe’s position in a world marked by growing instability, with leaders set to address topics such as security coordination, economic competitiveness, and the defense of democratic values.

The morning will begin with a panel titled "Europeans Assemble! Reclaiming Agency in a Rougher World," featuring EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas, Latvian President Edgars Rinkevics, NATO Deputy Secretary General Radmila Sekerinska, and French Armed Forces Minister Delegate Alice Rufo. Participants are expected to explore Europe’s strategic positioning amid an increasingly complex global landscape.

A following session will turn to economic resilience and competitiveness, with European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde and Estonian Prime Minister Kristen Michal among the speakers.

Later in the day, leaders such as Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic, Norway’s Finance Minister Jens Stoltenberg, and UK Shadow Foreign Secretary Priti Patel will discuss the pressures facing democratic values and political cohesion across Europe.

The conference will conclude with a panel examining the future of the global order and the role of emerging policymakers, followed by closing remarks from Munich Security Conference Chairman Wolfgang Ischinger.

The event has drawn more than 1,000 leaders, diplomats, and security experts from over 115 countries, including roughly 60 heads of state and government.
